By Brandy McDonnellNORMAN - In light of the coronavirus pandemic, the University of Oklahoma School of Dance is postponing the inaugural Five Moons Dance Festival to spring 2021.As previously reported, the dance festival honoring five renowned Native American ballerinas from Oklahoma was originally scheduled to take place in May on the University of Oklahoma’s Norman campus.The festival was founded to celebrate Maria Tallchief, Marjorie Tallchief, Rosella Hightower, Moscelyne Larkin and Yvonne Chouteau, each of whom created distinguished careers in the dance world during the 20th century and whose legacies have greatly contributed to dance in the state of Oklahoma.Read more on NewsOK.com
