I've been thinking about why I have such a problem with the movie 'Lucy' and I think it's that it expects us to go with a nonsense idea from the start, one that we know isn't true, and it tries so hard to root the whole story in science, when really, it would have been more enjoyable if they said, "this happened, deal with it", kind of like they do in comic book movies.
