Beaumont's city council will vote today on a permit application by Rahim Karediya to reopen the vacant building at 3890 Highland Ave. as a novelty shop and game room. The city's Planning and Zoning Commission already voted to deny the new permit because a church, school and city park are nearby neighbors.
