Every week brings still more examples that early season snowfall has been outstanding for Colorado’s northern and central mountains, and here’s another one: Steamboat announced on Thursday that it will mark the earliest opening in its 57-year history when it opens on Nov. 15, a week earlier than planned. “Winter came early to Steamboat and with record-breaking snow in October, opening sooner was an easy decision,” Steamboat Chief Operating Officer Rob Perlman said in a news release.
