NEW YORK (TheStreet) -- Shares of Steel Dynamics are down 6.05% to $16.63 today after the company reported 2014 fourth quarter results that missed analysts' expectations. The Fort Wayne, IN-based company reported reported a fourth-quarter loss of $45 million, or a loss of 19 cents a share on revenue of $2.52 billion, below earnings estimates of 42 cents. Seasonal trends and elevated steel imports negatively impacted shipments across the company's operating platforms, the company said, adding the average product selling price for the company's steel operations decreased $34 to $806 per ton.
