TV Ratings: 'So You Think You Can Dance' rises for FOX, while CBS' 'Dogs' premiere lacks bite

The season's second episode of "So You Think You Can Dance" was up from last Thursday's premiere and gave FOX a huge advantage in young viewers and a slim lead overall on Wednesday night.

CBS wins network ratings-war again; reality-competition shows still dominate

CBS can call itself the country’s most-watched network for the ninth time in the past 10 years. The network won the 2011-12 television season, which ended Wednesday, by averaging nearly 12 million viewers each week. That’s about 3 million more viewers than closest-competitor Fox, the largest margin of victory of any network in more than two decades.

TV Ratings: 'Criminal Minds,' 'CSI' repeats carry CBS on Wednesday

It wasn't an exciting Wednesday, ratings-wise, but CBS' three procedural repeats each claimed comfortable wins, as the network dominated the slow night in all measures.

Victoria's Secret Show

Annual live-action holiday catalog seen by 10.3M viewers with a whopping 4.6 rating among adults 18-49... There are jaws dropping this morning over CBS’ Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show — but this time, we can’t blame the lingerie. TV Ratings: 'Iron Man,' 'Blue Bloods' repeat lead Black Friday split

CBS procedural repeats and FOX's broadcast of the first "Iron Man" film led the way on a rather sluggish post-holiday Friday night. Among adults 18-49, FOX averaged a 1.2 rating, tops in the key demographic. The other networks were close behind with ABC's 1.1 rating and the 1.0 ratings for CBS and NBC. The CW averaged a 0.4 rating for the night.

Charlie Brown beats Lady Gaga in Thanksgiving ratings

Charlie Brown beats Lady Gaga in Thanksgiving ratings

It’s the Big Bang Theory, Charlie Brown! All the Thanksgiving specials Thursday night couldn’t hold a candle to a repeat of the CBS comedy, which delivered 11.2 million viewers and a 3.6 adult demo rating. Compare that to ABC’s Charlie Brown Thanksgiving (5.8 million, 1.8) and A Very Gaga Thanksgiving (5.4 million, 1.6 — more on that one here) and NBC’s 85th Anniversary of the Thanksgiving Day Parade (3.7 million, 1.1) and Happiness is a Warm Blanket Charlie Brown (5 million, 1.6). The best-performing special was Fox’s Ice Age: Mammoth Christmas (7.1 million, 2.3), despite the network getting the holiday wrong. And at least we can take comfort in Charlie Brown topping Lady Gaga, right?

TV Ratings: Another Friday win for CBS, 'Fringe' rises

CBS continues to dominate Fridays, with solid numbers for "A Gifted Man," "CSI: NY" and "Blue Bloods." It helped that NBC and ABC's slate were largely made up of repeats. "Fringe" rose, while "Supernatural" and "Nikita" saw a slight decline in viewer numbers.

TV Ratings: 'The Voice' rises as NBC splits Tuesday with CBS

One week can easily be a fluke, but after ratings for "The Voice" rose for Week 2, it can safely be said that NBC has a hit on its hands. The singing talent show added viewers, particularly young viewers, for its second airing and helped NBC split the first Tuesday of May Sweeps with CBS.
