Thomson Reuters employee indicted for aiding hackers: court filing

U.S. prosecutors obtained an indictment on Thursday accusing Matthew Keys, deputy social media editor at reuters.com, of aiding the group Anonymous to hack into a Tribune Co website.

Thomson Reuters said its blogging platform for Reuters News was hacked, resulting in multiple false posts to its website, including a fake interview with a Syrian rebel army leader.

 

Reuters Tells AP: “Stop Whining”

The Associated Press has been making controversial moves in the online space recently, including a plan to charge $12.50 for quoting 5 words of an AP story and enforcing strict social media rules on its staff.
