Staff report A teenage girl died Sunday in a vehicle accident in northern Putnam County. The Jeep flipped into a creek near the intersection of Coal Hollow and Heizer Creek roads and was submerged when first responders arrived, Sheriff Steve Deweese wrote in a statement. An adult male was able to escape, but a 16-year-old girl wasn't.
