The Washington Post's Kathleen Parker thinks Democrats should dump Kamala Harris. That's a fairly common pundit opinion, but most anti-Harris pundits don't Go There. Parker decides to Go There:
The Democratic Party’s indulgence of identity politics has proved successful in building a diverse organization, but its strategy of courting (and pandering to) minority voters is the road to ruin.
The Kamala conundrum comes down to this: She was picked because she was Black and female, a combo tantamount to job security.
According to a new filing from Trump's lawyers, it appears he's unable to come up with the $464 million in order to appeal his civil fraud case in New York. He was trying to get the amount reduced last month. Now they're trying to delay posting bond until the appeal is over:
Former President Donald Trump can’t find an insurance company to underwrite his bond to cover the massive judgment against him in the New York attorney general’s civil fraud case, his lawyers told a New York appeals court.
Trump’s attorneys said he has approached 30 underwriters to back the bond, which is due by the end of this month.
“The amount of the judgment, with interest, exceeds $464 million, and very few bonding companies will consider a bond of anything approaching that magnitude,” Trump’s lawyers wrote.
Former New York Mayor Rudy Giuliani predicted he would be disbarred and that it would help him "in heaven."
During his Sunday WABC radio broadcast, Giuliani offered what he said was "confidential stuff" after he was found liable for defaming two Georgia election workers, Ruby Freeman and Shaye Moss.
"The Bar Association is going to crucify me no matter what," he griped.
Donald Trump is lashing out at the media for being 'shocked' over the coverage he's received after saying there would be a "bloodbath" if he lost to President Joe Biden in November. Even though he has embraced violent rhetoric in the recent past, he repeatedly dehumanized migrants and Democrats and continues to lash out at the media.
Susan Glasser wrote a comprehensive article in the New Yorker highlighting the Traitor Trump's reworking and rebuilding a whole new edifice of lies for 2024.
Glasser joined ABC's This Week and, during a panel discussion, laid out the truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth about Trump's words and lies.
