Trustees heard a report Monday from current jail administrators working in the sheriff’s office on new mental health treatment pods, day-to-day operations, challenges facing staff and more, and asked to continue to receive reports from the sheriff’s office going forward. Assistant Jail Administrator Gene Bradley said thanks to a continued decrease in the inmate population, four new mental health treatment pods will open in the coming weeks.Read more on
