Jonathan Ames' HBO comedy "Bored to Death" was so low-key that to say that it's missed feels like an overstatement -- the show, which ran for three short seasons consisting of eight episodes each, was never that urgent about or insistent on being noticed. But "Bored to Death" had a genial, stoned acceptance of life's strangeness and people's imperfections that got stronger as the series went along, and its depiction of the friendship between its main characters, played by Jason Schwartzman, Zach Galifianakis and Ted Danson, was always funny and tender. So it's welcome news that "Bored to Death," which was canceled in December, may be coming back as an HBO TV movie.
