A dozen different bruschetta boards and more than 30 wines by the glass are some of the items to look forward to at Denver’s newest wine bar and restaurant on Broadway. Postino WineCafe opens its second Denver outpost Tuesday at the corner of 2nd and Broadway. The Arizona-based restaurant is already known in Denver’s Lower Highland for specials like $5 happy hour wines and $5 weekend brunch mimosas, or a bottle of wine and a bruschetta board for $25 on Mondays and Tuesdays after 8 p.m. At the new Broadway location, Postino has renovated a 124-year-old building, opening up the space that was most recently home to Compound Basix club, now with big windows and a bigger outdoor patio. Inside, Postino Broadway keeps the neighborhood vibe with low-slung lounge seating and vintage music posters on the brick walls. Now with 10 locations across Arizona, Texas and Colorado, the restaurant originally opened in Denver when it moved into LoHi in 2015.
