Yankees Dodge Sweep By K-mets With Extra-inning Win

KINGSPORT — It took 12 innings, but the Pulaski Yankees cooled off the Kingsport Mets with a 5-4 Appalachian League victory Tuesday evening at Hunter Wright Stadium. The K-Mets (27-30) won the first two games of the series. Tuesday’s loss was just their third in the past 12 games. The Yankees built a 4-1 lead before the K-Mets rallied with three runs in the bottom of the eighth to force extra frames. Pulaski pushed across the winning run in the top of the 12th.
