At the end of the day, though, Jackie Earle Haley ended up winning the role of the one superhero whose conscience proved to be his undoing at the conclusion of Zack Snyder’s 2009 superhero flick. However, had the filmmaker had his way, Cruise would have appeared in the movie as an entirely different character, the deceitful and scheming Ozymandias.
