Bob Iger says there is potential for R-Rated Marvel brand This morning, it was officially announced that The Walt Disney Company would be acquiring the assets of 20th Century Fox, which would bring the feature film rights for the X-Men and Fantastic Four back to Marvel Studios. This has left many fans wondering what that means for the future of adult-oriented movies from the franchise like Deadpool. CEO Bob Iger was asked today about their plans for the likes of these films and said there may be potential for them to continue at Disney despite the fact that the studio isn’t typically in the business of producing R-rated movies. “It (Deadpool) clearly has been and will be Marvel branded.
