New Spider-Man: Homecoming photo and Vulture details Ahead of the film’s first trailer tonight, Sony Pictures and Marvel Studios have debuted a new Spider-Man: Homecoming photo at USA Today and shared new details about the anticipated July 7, 2017 release. According to the newspaper, the film begins with Peter Parker returning to his normal life in Queens after Captain America: Civil War: “The coming-of-age story features Peter attending his high school for gifted kids, trying to impress his new benefactor Tony Stark (Robert Downey Jr.) and also dealing with a pesky arch enemy, the Vulture (Michael Keaton).” Star Tom Holland says it’s “more a character piece about this kid who’s struggling to talk to girls and also struggling to save the city… This is really a movie where Spider-Man’s not the finished article.
