Woman gets jail time for $212G Medicaid scam

MEDIA COURTHOUSE >> A Philadelphia woman who defrauded Medicaid of nearly $212,000 with bogus billings for behavioral health services was sentenced to one to two years in a state prison and six years of consecutive probation Wednesday.Delaware County Court of Common Pleas Judge John Capuzzi also ordered 59-year-old LaGracia Burnett to repay $211,942 to various agencies she had billed and $455 to the state for investigative costs.

She's one of the sweetest chi's we've ever met and can live with children, cats and male dogs - but other female dogs is where she likes to act a little too bossy. Dolly is spayed, UTD, chipped and just had her teeth cleaned.

 

Providence Animal Center Pet of the Week: Baloo

6-year-old female Mixed Breed Meet Baloo, the cute little girl who has had a hard time in her life lately, but now looking for someone to change all that for her forever. Baloo is small, fluffy and has one eye. She was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter, where he was in need of medical attention and a second chance.

 

Providence Animal Center Pet of the Week: Rolaid

5-month-old female Domestic Shorthair Say hello to Rolaid, the sweet and soft grey kitten who is waiting for a really great person to end her homelessness soon. She has soft, green eyes just like her soft personality. She was rescued from a local overcrowded shelter and brought to Providence Animal Center in Media, formerly the Delco SPCA, where she is waiting for a home like all of her other kitten friends.
