Haverford police probe shooting in Ardmore

HAVERFORD>> A man walking home from work Thursday night was shot in the ankle by two unknown males, police reported Friday. According to Haverford police, at about 11:31 p.m. officers were called to the 7-Eleven store on Haverford Road in the Ardmore section of Haverford Township on the report of a gunshot victim.

Mosquito treatment coming to Radnor Friday

Staff from the Delaware County Mosquito-Borne Disease Control Program will apply an Ultra-Low Volume (ULV) mosquito treatment during the evening of Friday to portions of Radnor provided that weather and environmental conditions remain suitable for the operation. If weather conditions or other unexpected events delay or cancel the spray operation, a rain date is scheduled for Aug.
