Sept. 7 a fine day for a bike ride for one Painesville resident

Gary Lebzelter says he enjoys a good bike ride and pedals the miles to prove it.The Painesville resident, found Sept. 7 riding along a path at the Lake Metroparks' Environmental Learning Center in Concord Township, said he likely rides at least 60 miles in any given week.

 

Harvey High School in Painesville earns top Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports award

For the third consecutive year, Thomas W. Harvey High School in Painesville will received the 2018 Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Gold Award.This award is the highest accomplishment that a school can achieve in PBIS. Jordak Elementary, McKinley Elementary, Gaitway High School, Kirtland Elementary, The Lake Academy and Newbury Elementary also earned Gold Awards this year.

9 indicted in conspiracy to launder $2M from shipment of 1 ton of marijuana from California to Northeast Ohio

Nine people have been indicted in United States District Court for the Northern District of Ohio for their roles in a conspiracy to launder more than $2 million in drug profits stemming from the shipment of about one ton of marijuana from California to warehouses in Wickliffe, Willoughby and Euclid.
