Dreamworks Animation Posts 24% Jump In Profit In Third Quarter

On May 9, 1980, the world was first introduced to a group of unwitting camp counselors getting picked off one-by-one by a mysterious killer in Friday the 13th, and the horror genre has never been the same since. One of those camp counselors just happened to be an up-and-coming young actor by the name of Kevin Bacon, who was fresh off the success of appearing in National Lampoons Animal House.

Apple's latest advertisement for its new iPad Pro, unveiled during its Let Loose event, not only drew some scathing comments from celebrities such as Hugh Grant and Justine Bateman, but created a backlash so strong that the tech giant was forced to issue an apology. The ad, entitled Crush, sees an enormous hydraulic press squashing decades of human ideas, development and culture into insignificance, which is meant to symbolize the consolidation of many creative tools into the iPad Pro.

Last month, Galactus was confirmed to be the main villain of Marvel's upcoming The Fantastic Four, and now we know who will be playing the mighty antagonist - The First Omen's Ralph Ineson. Just like several other castings for the movie, the actor is not one that was at the top of many fan-casting lists, but as confirmed by The Hollywood Reporter, Ineson will be joining the movie in the highly coveted role.

Romain Gavras is set to direct his first English-language film, Sacrifice. Co-written with Will Arbery, the film features an ensemble cast led by Chris Evans, Anya Taylor-Joy, Salma Hayek Pinault, and Brendan Fraser.

In the wake of successes like Five Nights at Freddys, Legendary Entertainment has inked a deal to bring the popular survival horror video game Poppy Playtime to the big screen. In a move that saw the company beat out several other aggressive offers, the deal will see Legendary produce the project along with Don Murphy and Susan Montford of Angry Films.

Ann-Margret has agreed to the project, per Us Weekly.
