The last update we heard regarding a big screen version of the hit video game God of War placed Brett Ratner as the adaptation's director when the project was still at Universal Pictures. Now, years later, Sony Pictures is starting fresh on the property and The Hollywood Reporter says that the studio has brought aboard Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan to draft a screenplay.
