HBO used their Television Critics Association panel today to make a couple of key announcements. Most notably, the network locked in an October 2nd premiere date for its lavish new sci-fi drama series "Westworld". Set at the intersection of the near future and the reimagined past, it explores a world in which every human appetite, no matter how noble or depraved, can be indulged. The cast list is insane - Anthony Hopkins, Ed Harris, Evan Rachel Wood, James Marsden, Thandie Newton, Jeffrey Wright, Tessa Thompson, Ben Barnes, Sidse Babett Knudsen, Jimmi Simpson, Rodrigo Santoro, Luke Hemsworth, Clifton Collins, Jr., Simon Quarterman, Shannon Woodward, Angela Sarafyan and Ingrid Bolso Berdal. At the same time they also announced premieres for their new Sarah Jessica Parker-led comedy "Divorce" and the black female buddy comedy series "Insecure" which will both kick off a week later on Sunday October 9th in the 10pm slot following "Westworld" at 9pm.
