Following the success of the animated sequel Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, and the recent announcement that Miles Morales will soon make the leap into live action, star Hailee Steinfeld was asked whether she would be interested in taking the same leap with Gwen Stacy aka Spider-Woman. And she replied that it would be the easiest “Yes!” of her career.

After weeks of rumors, it has seemingly been confirmed that The Flash director Andy Muschietti will return to the DCU to helm the upcoming Batman movie, The Brave and the Bold. While official confirmation is still pending, One Take News has reportedly "confirmed with multiple sources" that Muschietti will direct the latest reboot of The Dark Knight, in a move that has been teased by both the filmmaker himself and DC Studios co-chief James Gunn.

Two decades after Jack Black met former child star Rivkah Reyes while working on School of Rock, the two will reunite for a new project. Deadline reports that Black has joined the production of Gianna, a short film that stars Reyes in the lead role. Black will be serving as an associate producer, while Reyes is also producing the film.

Musician and horror filmmaker Rob Zombie had only wanted to make one Halloween film, figuring that his time in Haddonfield was over with his 2007 remake of the John Carpenter classic. In years past, Zombie has been pretty open about the difficulties he faced when making that Halloween film, and it was clearly not an enjoyable experience for him.

After the recent release of Disney's The Little Mermaid, a live-action remake of the original animated film released in 1989, a separate adaptation of the Hans Christian Andersem story has also been put into limited theaters by The Asylum.
