Warner Bros has placed King’s sequel to The Shining on the fast track. Mike Flanagan fresh from Netflix's GERALD'S GAME has been chosen to direct Doctor Sleep, adapting the 2013 King novel that continues the story Danny Torrance (The boy from THE SHINNING) while in his 40s and battling the same demons of alcoholism, anger, and damned spirits that plagued his father.Flanagan will do a rewrite of the script that was originally adapted by Akiva Goldsman.
