Josh Wakely, the man behind the upcoming cartoon series "Beat Bugs" which incorporates the music of the Beatles, is about to do the same for classic Motown hits. Netflix has given a series order to an animated kids series that will revolve around an eight-year-old boy named Ben, who lives in the city of Motown and discovers he can bring street art to life. Smokey Robinson will be an executive producer and, like 'Bugs,' the plan is for contemporary artists to record songs from the Motown vault that will drive the plot of each episode. Wakely is also developing a live-action series for Amazon and Lionsgate TV that will be driven by songs of Bob Dylan. Source: Netflix
