The fireball that blazed across the Texas sky and sparked numerous weekend calls to law enforcement agencies now can be considered an identified flying object.

 

'I don't know what I saw,' says fireball videographer

Just like some U.S. officials looking into the mystery, the man who captured video of an apparent fireball in the sky over Texas on Sunday is perplexed. "I don't know what I saw," Eddie Garcia, a videographer for News 8 Austin, said today. Early speculation was that it might have been debris from two satellites that rammed into each other. But U.S. Strategic Command said it was not.

A fire early Sunday at a home in northeast Fort Worth sent three children and their grandfather to the hospital -- two of the children with severe burns.A smoke detector was found in the house -- which is located in the 2600 block of Chenault Street -- but it was not in working order, said Lt. Kent Worley, Fort Worth Fire Department spokesman.A 3-year-old girl suffered third-degree burns, and a 1-year-old boy suffered second-degree burns, Worley said.
