Leonard Nimoy, famous as Mr. Spock on 'Star Trek,' dies

LOS ANGELES (AP) — Leonard Nimoy, the actor known and loved by generations of "Star Trek" fans as the pointy-eared, purely logical science officer Mr. Spock, has died.

Senh: RIP Mr. Spock. I didn't realize Nimoy wrote and directed a couple of the Star Trek movies, in addition to dabbling in music and poetry.

Thirty-eight people were feared dead after a fire raged through an isolated psychiatric hospital north of Moscow on Friday, killing some patients in their beds and others who were trapped by barred windows.
