A 2-year-old Florida girl's feet were severed when her father accidentally ran over her with a riding lawn mower in a tragic mixup, officials said. The toddler, identified by police as Ireland Nugent, was running in her Palm Harbor yard on Wednesday evening as her mother, Nicole, yelled after her to stop, NBC affiliate WFLA reported.

An Idaho man accused of uttering a racial slur and slapping a crying 19-month-old boy on a Delta Air Lines flight turned himself in to authorities Tuesday. Joe Rickey Hundley of Hayden, Idaho, surrendered in that state, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office in Atlanta. He was charged with assaulting a minor, stemming from a February 8 incident aboard the Delta flight to Atlanta.

Cops: Two held over tot's drive-by shooting

Two people have been arrested in connection with the drive-by shooting of 16-month-old boy last week, New Haven police said. A stray bullet hit Tramire Miller in the abdomen while he was sitting with family on the front stoop of a home on Kensington St. on October 10. He was rushed to surgery and has since been released from the hospital.

My 2-year-old and her cousin thought my laptop needed some cleaning while I stepped out to run an errand. The door to my home office was closed, but not locked. When I got back, I was told that my nephew was pouring water with a small bucket onto my less-than-a-year-old ASUS Zenbook while my daughter did the wiping with a towel.

When my mom discovered what had happened, she immediately wiped as much of the water off the laptop as she could.
