A college student killed himself in a dorm at the University of Central Florida and authorities found explosives and guns in the room early Monday, authorities said, leading to the evacuation of hundreds of students and cancellation of morning classes.

At least 82 people have been killed and more than 160 injured in two rocket explosions at the University of Aleppo in Syria’s largest city on Tuesday, city officials reported.

Khalid Ali-M Aldawsari, 20, was attending a small college near Lubbock, Texas. The FBI says he purchased chemicals and bomb components and kept a detailed journal outlining his targets, including former President George W. Bush's home in Dallas and dams in Colorado and California.
