Staff reportThe City of Painesville announced that on June 13, Nebraska Street will be closed from Courtland Street to Richmond Street for tree removal from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. In the event of inclement weather, the reschedule date will be June 15.Emergency vehicles are the only ones that will be allowed access.

Crew removes trees from Willoughby's Chagrin River

Crews from Pro Tree Service of Kirtland used a crane on June 12 to remove sections of trees that had been damming the Chagrin River in Willoughby. Pro Tree Service set up its crane in the eastbound lane of the Airborne Memorial Bridge on Mentor Avenue, while other crew members cut up trees in the river bed and attached them to the crane's cable.
