They were a family of four — a mom and dad and their two young sons — apparently headed to a relative’s house Sunday morning for a cookout. They were halted at a red light near Winchester, Va., when their vehicle was hit from behind, in a crash that might have been alcohol-related, state police said. The fuel tank of their Jeep Cherokee ruptured and the vehicle burst into flames, according to police.
