Primary ballots must be dropped off by 7 p.m. Tuesday for votes to count. Here's the list of drop-off locations.

El Paso County election officials are encouraging voters who haven't yet mailed their ballots for Tuesday's primary election to deposit them at one of 15 drop boxes throughout the county.
Ballots must be received by 7 p.m. on Tuesday, and ballots received after the deadline cannot be counted.

 

Funnel cloud spotted in Colorado mountains

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS — Brittany Dick was getting into her car to go for a run outside her home in Elk River Estates when she saw an uncommon site in Routt County — a funnel cloud.
The funnel cloud was just forming above North Routt County.
"I had never seen a funnel cloud before, honestly, even growing up in the Midwest. So, I actually got my roommate outside and asked him 'Is that a funnel cloud?'" she said.

416 fire near Durango expected to grow amid critical fire conditions

DURANGO - The 416 Fire grew by about 100 acres Saturday and is expected to grow again Sunday due to high temperatures, low humidity, and increasing winds, the fire management team said in a news release.

 

Man found stabbed multiple times outside Colorado Springs bar

A man was stabbed multiple times after being confronted by several people outside of a bar in southeast Colorado Springs Sunday night.
The 42-year old victim was rushed to a local hospital after being found in serious condition by police in the 3700 block of Drennan Road.
The suspects fled the scene before police arrived and no suspect description has been given.

 

Forecast: Record heat possible this week around Colorado Springs

Monday will see mostly sunny skies and a high of 81 degrees in Colorado Springs before temperatures climb to near record levels later in the work week, forecasts the National Weather Service. 
The sun will be out with little cloud cover starting Tuesday with highs predicted to settle in the mid 90s until Friday. Even the low temperatures are not so low, forecast to remain above 60 degrees until the weekend, say meteorologists.

Amber Alert issued for missing southern Colorado boy

An Amber Alert was issued Sunday night out of Saguache County for a missing 12-year-old boy who may have  been abducted in southern Colorado.
Jacob Rowe, who is 5 feet and 100 pounds with red hair and blue eyes, was last seen Saturday in Crestone, Colorado.

 

Teen arrested in fatal shooting in southwest Colorado Springs

A 19-year-old man was arrested Sunday in a fatal shooting the day before in southwest Colorado Springs that may be connected to a rollover crash, police said.
Cedric Jamal Jackson was arrested on suspicion of first-degree murder. He's being held in El Paso County jail without bond.
