Fittingly, Roger Ebert's last movie review was of a film he thoroughly enjoyed. The esteemed critic died Thursday at age 70, and his longtime employer, the Chicago Sun-Times published his final review in Sunday's paper.

A movie about the early life of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs premiered Friday night at the Sundance Film Festival to mixed reviews, with some critics saying it presents a fawning, one-sided portrait of the late tech icon.

The embargo on The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey reviews has been lifted, so a number of publications have published theirs online. And surprise! Geronimo. After months of anticipation, Kathryn Bigelow's "Zero Dark Thirty," a procedural about the hunt for and killing of Osama Bin Laden, screened for critics and Oscar watchers in New York and Los Angeles on Sunday night. The early words? Strong, thoughtful, cynical, academic and intense.

Director Christopher Nolan is defending fans irate over negative reviews of "The Dark Knight Rises." While the final piece of Nolan's "Dark Knight" trilogy has gotten mostly positive reviews, a few critics, including The Associated Press' Christy Lemire, gave it a negative review. Fan response to those critics became so venomous on the review aggregator site RottenTomatoes.com that it suspended user comments late Monday.

The aggregating Web site RottenTomatoes.com suspended user comments on movie reviews of "The Dark Knight Rises" after commenters reacted harshly to negative reviews of the film and made profane and threatening remarks about the critics who wrote them.

There was a press screening last Friday and word got out that after the movie was over, those in attendance gave the movie a standing ovation. While standing ovations are not uncommon after screenings, especially as a courtesy to the filmmakers for their work on the final film of a beloved franchise, it was the reaction to the movie that was noteworthy.

Ridley Scott's Prometheus had its world premiere in London yesterday and the reviews are out with or without Fox's blessings. Read them below.
